Supporting your child's physical, social, and emotional wellbeing is more important now than ever before! Small group in-person classes are being offered at the Maitri Center to support all aspects of your child's wellbeing, so they can navigate our ever-changing world with greater resiliency & balance. Maitri Center welcomes children & families of all abilities, genders & identities. Mindful Monkeys 6-week series
For kids ages 5-8 and in grades K-2

By planting the seeds of mindfulness, younger elementary aged students will discover their inner calm and social connectedness through interactive games, stories, movement, and crafts curated just for this age group!
Offered in partnership with Oregon Community Ed & Rec.

For kids ages 8-11 and in grades 3-5

Mindfulness for 'Tweens & Middle Schoolers grades 6-8
Specially designed for pre-/early adolescent students in grades 5-8 (ages 10-14), this engaging 6-week series teaches the essential elements of mindfulness through the acronym BREATHE:
Body & sensory awareness
Reflections (thoughts)
Emotions
Attention
Tenderness (kindness & compassion)
Healthy habits of mind
Empowerment
By cultivating mindful awareness of inner and outer experiences, students will learn to connect with their innate peaceful and compassionate nature while practicing techniques that pave the way for greater balance, resiliency, and emotional wellbeing.
Central to this course is our focus on nurturing our authentic selves through exploratory exercises that deepen our appreciation for the unique gifts each of us brings to the world. This course can be a life changer for many students!
